    ABOUT RAISA
    The Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance (RAISA) is a professional, non-governmental, non-partisan political, nonprofit and public benefit association. Founded in 2012, RAISA started as an initiative dedicated to promote the information security.

    The aim of RAISA is promoting and supporting information security activities in compliance with applicable laws, and creating a community for the exchange of knowledge between the experts from the public, private, and academic environment from Romania, community which has to adhere to the following values:

    The vision of RAISA is to promote research and education in information security field and to contribute to the creation and dissemination of knowledge and technology in this domain. RAISA has a strong representation at the national level, bringing together professors and researchers from top universities and Romanian institutions, PhD, masters and license students, as well as companies from the IT segment.

    ABOUT THE STUDY
    Considerations on Challenges and Future Directions in Cybersecurity” study was developed on the occasion of the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, under the aegis of the Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance (RAISA), with the support of the Romanian National Computer Security Incident Response Team (CERT-RO) and the National Cyberint Center within the Romanian Intelligence Service.

    Considerations on Challenges and Future Directions
    in Cybersecurity Study

    The study stands for a joint effort of experts from the public, private and academic fields to develop a cybersecurity framework for education, innovation, cooperation and human resource management and to reveal future challenges and strategic directions in this area.
    The 30 articles from the study are grouped into two sections:

    The papers present the current state of the art (priorities and actions), current trends, needs and challenges, best practices used to solve specific problems, future directions and recommendations for improving the current situation, as well as conclusions and perspectives for further development in cybersecurity.

    ABOUT THE AWARD
    It is a great honor for the Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance (RAISA) to receive this award. The fact that the “Considerations on Challenges and Future Directions in Cybersecurity” study was launched at the Romanian Academy and presented at the European Commission and the Permanent Representation of Romania to the European Union in Brussels, and finally obtains the outstanding security performance awards, it emphasizes the importance of cooperation among the public, private, and academic sectors.

    We hope that more cybersecurity initiatives will be developed in the future, to improve the cybersecurity culture and to fight the phenomenon of cybercrime. Knowledge, implemented through common effort, for mutual benefit, is, in the opinion of the Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance (RAISA), the richest expression in information security education.
