Abstract:
A computer virus is a destructive program designed to infect computer systems by multiplying (like a biological virus). The virus consists of a sequence of code attached to a file (usually executable) that is activated when the file is executed. This article presents a classification of computer viruses and the main methods of counteracting the effects of malware applications.
