Abstract:
Legal measures have an important role in the prevention and combating of the cybercrime phenomenon. The law represents a tool for the states to respond to security challenges, as a balance between the respect of privacy and the control of crime. Due to the technological developments in the field of cybercrime, the legislation has to seize with new concepts and strategies. This paper focuses on the role of legislation in fighting cybercrime and analyze the Romanian legislation in this field.
