RAISA Organized CyberCon Romania 2025 International Conference on Cybersecurity

The international conference CyberCon Romania 2025 was organized on November 20-21, 2025, by the Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance (RAISA). The conference was hosted at the Representation of the European Commission in Romania, an EU hub for dialogue, exchanging ideas, and sharing best practices.
The conference was structured in the following sections: Section I – Skills for the Future: Cybersecurity Through Education and Innovation; Section II – Public-Private Partnerships for Strengthening Cybersecurity and Section III – Next-Gen Security: AI-Driven Defense Against Cybercrime.
For the first section the key themes discussed were focused on:
- Building digital and cybersecurity skills through continuous education.
- Embedding cybersecurity in curricula to reduce the talent gap.
- Using innovation and emerging technologies to enhance defense capabilities.
- Strengthening multi-stakeholder collaboration for skill development.
- Encouraging lifelong learning to stay aligned with evolving threats.
The subjects of the second section were:
- Improving public-private threat intelligence sharing.
- Enabling coordinated incident response across sectors.
- Harmonizing security standards and compliance efforts.
- Driving joint innovation to counter emerging risks.
- Strengthening trust-based collaboration for greater resilience.
Finally, the third section had as main topics:
- Leveraging AI-powered threat detection for faster response.
- Automating security operations to reduce human workload and errors.
- Using predictive analytics to identify risks before attacks occur.
- Enhancing fraud prevention through machine learning models.
- Addressing ethical and privacy concerns in AI-driven defense.
Some key conclusions that can be mentioned after the successful holding of the conference are:
– The conference offered in-depth discussions on various cybersecurity topics, ensuring a rich and engaging experience.
– Participants came from the military, law enforcement, public sector, private companies, and academia, encouraging valuable cross-sector dialogue.
– Distinguished keynote speakers and 20 expert presenters shared forward-thinking insights, real case studies, and global best practices.
– Supported by valued partners from academia and institutions, the conference promoted broad engagement and trust.
The event CyberCon Romania included the International Conference on Cybersecurity and Cybercrime (IC3), an annual scientific conference organized by the Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance. The conference featured 14 research papers that contributed to the growth and innovation of the cybersecurity field.
